Thursday after work in the company bus to the train station I felt a bit weird about my left ankle. And I thought, how strange…

I must say till now I have not had any liquid retention or anything swollen, but by the time I got home two and a half hours later on Thursday (I work out of London and the trip is too long) both my ankles were swollen and even my legs up to my knees were starting to …The last five minutes walking home from the tube station were horrible. The worst is that I still have three more weeks to work till the transplant comes, and doing it in this condition is going to be impossible.

And here I am, yesterday I did a little experiment and didn’t take my blood pressure medicine, since I read in the prospect that is very common side effect to have swollen ankles and headaches. And yes it is now proven, it is the new medicine that is giving me this problems. Yesterday it was like magic, suddenly no swelling and no headaches to be seen all day.

Of course it makes me feel really upset, my previous medicine was stopped because they say it might be the reason for my airways inflammation, well, I must say if I have to choose, I rather take the old medicine than the new one with all this side effects. So I can’t wait till Monday that I will go by my GP to see if he is willing to change it, or either I will ask my renal nurse to do so on our visit on Tuesday. One of the two should be able to listen to me, I hope.

Will see what happens…
